How We Look After Your Information

Karmashetra collects only what we need to run the entrance assessment, the programme and mentorship. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.

It follows India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

1What we collect

We collect information you give us:

Registration formName, WhatsApp number, email, city, college, course, year, preferred batch and any message you add.
Enquiry formName, phone number, email, the topic and your message.
Assessment and programmeYour assessment score, attendance, the work you submit and mentor feedback.
PaymentThe UPI transaction reference and amount. We never ask for or store your UPI PIN, card or bank login.
MentorshipMessages and documents you send your mentor on WhatsApp or email, such as a resume or portfolio.

When you visit the site, our hosting provider records basic technical data such as IP address, browser and pages requested, to keep the site secure and working.

2How we use it

We use your information to:

Run the entrance assessment and share your result.
Contact you about selection, payment, schedules and classes on WhatsApp, email or phone.
Teach, give feedback and provide lifetime mentorship.
Answer enquiries you send us.
Keep records required by law, such as payment records.

We do not use your information for advertising, and the site does not use advertising cookies.

To see how the site is used, we use Google Analytics through Google Tag Manager. It sets cookies that count visits, pages viewed and forms sent, without your name, phone number or email. You can block these cookies in your browser settings.

3Who we share it with

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only:

With your mentors, so they can teach and guide you.
With service providers that help us run the programme, such as website hosting, email, WhatsApp and Google Workspace, only for that purpose.
With Google Analytics, which receives pages viewed and the device and browser used, so we can see how the site is used.
With Google reCAPTCHA when you send a form, which checks that a person, not a program, sent it. Google's Privacy Policy and Terms apply to that check.
When the law requires it, or to protect students, mentors or the public from harm.

4How long we keep it

If you are not selected, we delete your registration details within 12 months unless you ask to stay in touch for a later batch.

For enrolled students, we keep programme records for as long as lifetime mentorship continues, and payment records for as long as Indian law requires.

5Keeping it safe

Access to student information is limited to the people who need it. We use reputable providers with secure connections. No system is completely secure, so tell us straight away if you think your information has been misused.

6Your rights

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can:

Ask what information we hold about you and how we use it.
Ask us to correct or update it.
Ask us to delete it, when we no longer need it for the programme or by law.
Withdraw your consent to messages. Reply STOP on WhatsApp or write to us.
Raise a grievance with us, and with the Data Protection Board of India if it is not resolved.

Write to info@karmashetra.com from the email address you registered with. We reply within 30 days.

7Students under 18

Karmashetra is for college students. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must agree before you register.

8Changes and contact

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version.
